Space Beam Headlamp

This space-age headlamp is perfect for the outdoors. It has a powerful beam that can light up the darkest of trails.

How Space Beam Headlamp Works

Space Beam is a unique, powerful and compact headlamp that offers wide-ranging light output for different activities. With a weight of only 3.5 ounces (100 grams), the Space Beam is one of the lightest rechargeable headlamps on the market. It's also USB rechargeable and has a battery indicator to let you know when it's time to juice up. The lamp swivels 90 degrees so you can direct the beam right where you need it, and it even comes with its own storage pouch. Here's how it works:
The Space Beam uses an array of high-powered LEDs to produce a bright, focused beam of light. The headlamp has two settings - high and low - which allow you to adjust the light output depending on your needs. On the high setting, the Space Beam produces 200 lumens of light - enough to illuminate your surroundings for up to 50 meters (150 feet). On the low setting, the headlamp emits 50 lumens of light - ideal for close-up work or reading in dark conditions. When not in use, the Space Beam can be turned off completely to conserve power.
To charge the internal battery, simply connect the included USB cable to the port on the side of the headlamp. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and will provide up to 5 hours of run time on high or 20 hours on low.

Benefits of Space Beam Headlamp

A space beam headlamp is a type of headlamp that uses a special reflective coating to direct light in a narrow beam. They are popular among campers and hikers because they allow for more focused light than traditional headlamps.
Space beam headlamps have several benefits over traditional headlamps. First, they are much more durable and can withstand being dropped or bumped. Second, the reflective coating makes the light brighter and easier to see in low-light conditions. Finally, the narrow beam of light means that you won't blind your fellow campers or hikers when you use it.

Features of Space Beam Headlamp

When looking for a headlamp, many people believe that brighter is better. But when it comes to space exploration, brightness isn't always what's needed most. For astronauts on spacewalks and researchers working in dark, cramped quarters of spacecrafts and satellites, a wide, even beam of light is key to safe and productive work. That's why the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) chose LED technologies for its Space Beam Headlamp.
The lamp features seven LEDs — three white, two red and two blue — set in an adjustable housing that can be worn on the forehead or helmet. The reason for different colored LEDs is because they each have unique benefits depending on the task at hand. White light is great for general illumination, while red light preserves night vision and doesn't cause glare or reflection like white light can. Blue light has been shown to be effective in treating acne vulgaris and reducing inflammation.
Each color can be turned on or off independently, or all together at different intensities depending on need. The headlamp also features an emergency strobe mode that flashes all seven LEDs at once very brightly — helpful if an astronaut needs to signal for help in low-light conditions. And finally, because it runs on standard AA batteries, there's no need for special chargers or cables — another plus when you're working in zero gravity!
